About

The longer version.

Since the home page only had room for the highlights.

I was raised an Army brat, which means I grew up all over the world and learned early how to land somewhere new and get to work. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in three years, married Luke in '92, and had eight kids in the sixteen years after that.

I like to accomplish things. I walked up to Everest Base Camp at 17,598 feet. I finished an 18,000-piece jigsaw puzzle (yes, really). And I'm almost done hiking the entire Appalachian Trail — section by section, Georgia toward Maine, with just a few stretches left to connect.

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The short version
